The Center for HIV Identification, Prevention, and Treatment Services (CHIPTS) engages in world-class research in its pursuit of its mission to combat HIV globally. Its efforts include a wide variety of research efforts to create scientific leadership, expertise, and infrastructure to be leveraged to create, understand, and evaluate structural & community level interventions, models of adaptation & adoption of efficacious interventions, strategies to reduce disparities for scientists, nations, communities, & individuals and research agendas that integrate behavioral, biomedical, & technological intervention strategies. Through its promotion of cutting-edge science, CHIPTS encourages networking and helps build capacity of sciences, advocates, policymakers, and consumers. CHIPTS has established 6 Cores that support he design, implementation, and evaluation of existing funded projects and assist in the development of new research protocols focused on communities, systems-of-care, service providers, and individuals at risk.
